Adults & Community

A main objective of the Hub is the reduction of social isolation, facilitating community cohesion for all residents of the Kyle of Sutherland and our outlaying neighbours. We aim to do this through the provision of not only accessible facilities but also community events, classes, and engagement, opening the doors to activities that also develop skills and manage physical and emotional well- being. Please see our What’s On page for more details.

We are excited to announce that we have secured funding from The Cycle Share Fund to establish an e bike loan scheme and cycling club. We will have 10 bikes and are looking forward to developing this project along with The Golspie Bothy and Heavens Bikes. Thank you to everyone who responded to our bike club questions please keep a lookout for future developments on here and posters around the villages 😁

The Kyle of Sutherland Hub

is a unique and vibrant facility open to all, 7 days a week all year.

Located in the Scottish Highlands' county of Sutherland, between the villages of Bonar Bridge and Ardgay. The Hub is just a stones throw away from the NC500 route.

Housing the north's premier soft play, fitness suite, cafe, rooms for hire, and a diverse range of clubs and classes there is something for everyone young, old and those in between.smile

The Hub is a voluntary managed social enterprise and registered charity, facilitating physical and emotional health and well-being, reducing isolation, creating opportunities for skills development and overcoming multiple levels of deprivation faced by our communities due to location.

Through community engagement we aim to provide clubs, activities and classes that met the needs of all ages and abilities and enhance the Kyle of Sutherland as a place to live, work and visit.

Children and Young people are at the core of our service from birth upwards. They are central to developing services aimed at them, there implementation and what happens next for them.

The Hub is a community owned asset which started life on an old double-decker bus and two temporary classrooms. It is a project at the heart of the community, that is fully inclusive, non-judgmental and engaging. The Hub supports local employment and volunteering opportunities.

You will be guaranteed the warmest of welcomes at the Hub where we strive to make every persons visit a positive experience.
